jett plasma treatment performed on patients eyelid

JETT Plasma

JETT Plasma is a non-invasive treatment used to improve meibomian gland function and reduce inflammation along the eyelids.

When the oil glands are not working properly, the tear film becomes unstable, leading to dryness, burning, irritation, and fluctuating vision that may not improve with drops alone.

JETT Plasma uses controlled electrical energy to target the eyelids, helping restore oil gland function and improve tear film quality. It is often used as part of a personalized dry eye treatment plan based on advanced testing of the tear film, meibomian glands, and ocular surface.

What to expect

JETT Plasma is performed in-office and is designed to be a comfortable, non-invasive treatment. Numbing drops are used, and most patients describe the sensation as warm or slightly tingling rather than painful. Each treatment takes approximately 20 minutes as part of a 45-minute visit.

Some patients notice improvement after the first session, but the best results typically build over a series of treatments. Most patients benefit from a series of 3–4 sessions spaced over time. You may experience mild redness or temporary blurred vision for a short period after treatment. Most patients return to normal activities the same day once vision has cleared.
